DIE ILLUATRATIONSKLASSEN RÖSLER UND BAYER

Eine Ausstellung meiner Studenten zusammen mit der Klasse von Prof. Andrė Rösler. Keine Bilder von mir, aber von sehr vielversprechenden Talenten. Wer zur Vernissage in Würzburg ist – ich freue mich auf Euer Kommen!

Studenten der Illustrations-Klassen der Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt haben sich mit Stift, Pinsel, Schere und Computer auf die Suche begeben und ihr Umfeld als fremdes Terrain neu erkundet. In der direkten Auseinandersetzung sind Geschichten, Gedanken und Bilder entstanden, die den Schwerpunkt immer auf die persönliche Sichtweise setzen. Ihre Qualität entspringt dem Prozess genauer Beobachtung und der Suche nach einer persönlichen Handschrift.

Open since yesterday June 9, at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg.

My award winning work about drug dealing kids in Berlin will be shown at „Visual Leader 2011 – the best of magazines and internet“ an exhibition accompanying the LeadAwards event.

This is what Deichtorhallen says: „For the eighth time, the nominees and winners of the LeadAwards will be presented at Haus der Photographie at Deichtorhallen Hamburg. Photo series, magazine features, ads and websites will be on show – the best of what German magazines had to offer in 2010.

The exhibition encompasses all the works that last year won one of the coveted LeadAwards, Germany’s top print and online media award. The award winners on show include internationally renowned photographers and artists such as Nan Goldin, Tim Hetherington, Daniel Josefsohn, Peter Langner, Peter Lindbergh, Taryn Simon, Hedi Slimane, Juergen Teller, Wolfgang Tillmans, Jonas Unger, Harf Zimmermann and many more.

“VisualLeader” is not only the largest exhibition of its kind in Germany, but also has a very special format: In contrast to other competitions for creative professionals, you cannot enter the LeadAwards yourself. An independent jury of experts combs through the entire year’s issues of around 400 German magazines and picks out prize-worthy articles. A high-profile jury then judges and evaluates them, ensuring a completely independent and truly comprehensive judgment. Those awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze awards can rightly claim to be among the best of the best.

As such, the exhibition “VisualLeader” takes stock of the German creative scene. It highlights trends, sets standards for the future, and provides impulses for more innovation in print and online media. It shows what we can expect to see soon, and what will be here to stay.“

The Landjäger Magazine was invited to put up a stand in the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
So Elisabeth and Christian arrived with wurst and cheese from Austria.
Also, our friends from Au, the Poschauko Twins, did a very nice speech.
I am looking forward to the next Landjäger issue. I just finished the last drawings for it during Typo.

An exciting and productive winter term in Würzburg has come to its end. This week my illustration classes will exhibit their latest work at the upcoming Degree Show. We will present loads of studies, illustrations, drawings, collages, comics, books and sketchbooks…
